To celebrate the holy month of Ramadan 1447 H, Hotel Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo held a social event titled “Iftar Together Ramadan 1447 H,” inviting children from the Foundation of TPA Darul Qalam Labuan Bajo. The solemn event took place in the Hotel Meruorah Ballroom, with a stunning sunset view of Labuan Bajo Harbor as the backdrop.
The event was attended by the Board of Directors of PT Indonesia Ferry Property (IFPRO), the Management of Hotel Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo, stakeholders, and all hotel employees. A total of 130 invited guests and staff filled the room, including 33 children from the orphanage and their accompanying religious teachers.
A Moment of Togetherness and Sharing
A warm atmosphere was palpable from the beginning of the event. The orphanage children, dressed in Muslim attire, looked cheerful as they received school supplies and donations from the orphanage foundation as a form of moral and material support from the management. A group photo session on stage showcased the happy smiles of the participants holding bright yellow gift bags, accompanied by the board of directors and management.
“Seeing the joy on the children’s faces as they broke their fast gave us renewed energy. This spirit of togetherness is what we want to continue to cultivate, so that Hotel Meruorah can continue to have a positive impact and become a warm home for everyone in West Manggarai,” said Rudy H. A Series of Solemn Events
The event began at 5:00 PM WITA with a well-organized series of events, including a touching performance by trainees of the religious song “Padamu Ku Bersujud”, a recitation of the Quran and a Saritilawah (Prayer) delivered by representatives of the orphanage children, followed by a heartwarming Ramadan sermon/recitation.
Welcome speeches and the symbolic handover of donations and basic food supplies to the orphanage foundation culminated in the social event.
Breaking the Fast Together: As the Maghrib call to prayer sounded, all guests and orphanage children enjoyed a meal at the prepared round tables, accompanied by Hadroh music, which added a rich Islamic atmosphere.
Through this event, Hotel Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo hopes to provide positive energy and encouragement to the Darul Qalam TPA children as they fast, as well as strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between tourism industry players and the local community.
