8 Days of Enchantment: Komodo Waterfront Festival 2025 Highlights Flores' Cultural Richness on a World-Class Stage

Labuan Bajo, October 24, 2025 – Labuan Bajo is set to once again become a center for celebrating local culture, heritage, and creativity through the annual Komodo Waterfront Festival 2025, which will be held from November 15 to 22, 2025. Entering its fourth year, the festival returns with a larger scale and deeper spirit, taking place at the Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo Hotel promenade and Taman Plaza Marina.

With the theme “BAJO HERITAGE” – Thread, Feeling & Rhythm, Komodo Waterfront Festival 2025 is not just a tourist attraction, but also a declaration to celebrate the rich cultural identity of Labuan Bajo and Flores as a whole. This theme specifically highlights:

Thread: Depicting timeless textile traditions, such as vibrant woven fabrics, which are a source of pride and livelihood.

Taste: Representing the rich culinary diversity of Flores, steeped in the flavors of our ancestors.

Rhythm: Featuring soulful traditional music and dance, radiating the vibrant spirit of Labuan Bajo, including this year’s Komodo Idol 3 collaboration.

Sabtu, 15 Nov 2025 – Karnawal Kebudayaan, Bentang Kain Songke, Komodo Idol 3 Semi Final, Pameran Seni

Karnaval kebudayaan start dari puncak waringin dan finis di Jalan Soekarno Hatta, giat pemecahan rekor MURI dengan 1000 Bentang Kain Songke, SEMI FINAL – Komodo Idol 3  hingga Pameran Seni di Lobby Hotel.

Minggu, 16 Nov 2025 – Gastronomi Manggarai, Pameran Seni

Pelatihan teknik memasak bersama Bintang Tamu Chef Christfian mengangkat tema Gastronomi Moringa asli Manggarai, dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan kompetisi memasak dengan bahan dasar Mie Moringa. Pameran seni masih berlangsung di lobby hotel.

Senin, 17 Nov 2025 – Pameran Seni & Toto Kopi

Pameran seni di area lobby dan terbuka untuk umum, ada juga Toto Kopi.

Selasa, 18 Nov 2025 – Mixology Workshop & Audisi, Pameran Seni

Pelatihan Mixology oleh World Champion Bartender Mr. Eka Jegger dan Doctor Bar Mr. Ngurah Ngudayana, dilanjutkan kompetisi AUDISI Sopi Mixology di area hotel. Pameran seni masih berlangsung di lobby hotel.

Rabu, 19 Nov 2025 – Mixology Final Round, Komodo Idol 3 Final, Pameran Seni

Hari kompetisi FINAL Sopi Mixology di area hotel dengan juri World Champion Bartender Mr. Eka Jegger dan Doctor Bar Mr. Ngurah Ngudayana, dilanjutkan pada sore hari hingga petang pelaksanaan FINAL – Komodo Idol 3 di area hotel. Pameran seni masih berlangsung di lobby hotel.

Kamis, 20 Nov 2025 – Bazaar & Bajo Got Talent Audisi

Dibukanya bazaar UMKM di area promenade hotel dan Taman Marina Plaza, dan pelaksanaan kompetisi AUDISI Bajo Got Talent; tari modern, tari tradisional hingga kompetisi dansa tabola bole, dan hari karantina finalis Komodo Idol 3.

Jumat, 21 Nov 2025 – Bazaar & Bajo Got Talent Final.

Lanjut bazaar UMKM di area promenade hotel dan Taman Marina Plaza, dan pelaksanaan kompetisi FINAL Bajo Got Talent; kompetisi tari modern, kompetisi tari tradisional hingga kompetisi dansa tabola bole, dan hari karantina finalis Komodo Idol 3.

Sabtu, 22 Nov 2025 – Puncak Acara

Lanjut bazaar UMKM di area promenade hotel dan Taman Marina Plaza, GRAND FINAL Komodo Idol 3, Broadway Show Legenda Putri Komodo, & Fashion Show pada puncak acara. 

The Vision & Mission of the Komodo Waterfront Festival 2025 is designed to go beyond the conventional concept of tourism. The festival’s primary goal is to showcase the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Flores with a focus on:

• Promoting Sustainable Tourism: Emphasizing tourism that protects the environment, provides tangible benefits to local communities, and is deeply rooted in cultural preservation, as a counter-narrative to tourism that is solely profit-oriented.
• Strengthening National Unity and Solidarity: Serving as a platform for people from various religious and ethnic backgrounds to gather, fostering social cohesion and brotherhood, through events such as the Cultural Carnival.
• Stimulating the Local Economy: Through a MSME Bazaar involving hundreds of local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, providing them with a platform to sell culinary products (“Rasa”) and traditional crafts such as woven fabric (“Benang”).
• Fostering Local Creativity: Presenting Komodo Idol, a unique talent search event in Flores that fosters the creativity of local children and youth, particularly in the field of vocal arts (“Ritme”).
• Wide Target Audience: As one of the most anticipated festivals, this festival has a diverse audience:
• Local Communities: Deeply rooted in local traditions, inviting participation from residents across the diocese and beyond.
